American Family Insurance - Steer clear
I was online looking for an auto insurance quote, put in my contact info then an hour or so later an agent called me and gave me an awesome quote from American family insurance so I couldnโt pass it up and signed up right then and there gave him my card info payed some fees as well as the first month payment. So a couple of weeks go by then I get this letter in the mail from American family insurance saying that even though the agent approved me that they were denying me because of two previous tickets I had prior to getting the insurance and they were terminating my policy and I would no longer be insured by them.
So that was fine by me until one year later I get a call from a collection company saying I owe them $200 and I said thatโs not right and Iโm not paying it because they terminated my policy and I Hadenโs even had it for a month! I canโt get any answers from them or their collection company they are the most careless people Iโve ever talked to in my life the collection company says call American family insurance and American family insurance says call the collection company so Iโd steer clear of this company at all costs
Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Re-read the rejection letter ; it certainly states the date at which the policy will terminate. It will also like state that you are considered liable for insurance fees accrued until the moment of termination. The same stunt was pulled on us by Great Lakes Insurance Company which was recommended by our lender Huntington Bank during the construction and early occupancy phase of our house ; I paid the lousy Great Lakes Insurance Company but was glad to ultimately dispose of a company I had never used before, didn't appreciate, and tag their cronies the perpetually difficult Huntington Bank for exclusion from my fiscal transactions - all easily accomplished with such motivation.
